The earth’s climate changes rapidly.

The average temperature rises with obvious consequences for the environment. The greenhouse effect makes it necessary to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

Swedavia subscribes to this through being the first major Swedish company to become climate neutral. Swedavia has reduced its emission levels by more than 60 % in the last five years with the remaining emissions being compensated.

Swedavia's environmental work

Swedavia (formerly LFV) is the first major Swedish company to have chosen to become climate-neutral. This means that Swedavia can now offer services that are produced without having an adverse impact on the climate. Swedavia works towards the sustainable development of airports and air navigation services.

Swedavia (formerly LFV) is a state-owned airport company run along business lines which is responsible for the operation and improvement of 13 Swedish airports. Swedavia has some 2,600 employees. With over 170 positions to choose from, Swedavia seeks professional, active, responsible people interested in developing together with the organisation.

New EU regulations were introduced in November 2006 regarding security checks for flights departing from Swedish airports and cover domestic, EU and other international destinations. These regulations limit the quantity of fluids permitted in hand luggage.
